Recently, China CT Steel Structure Co., Ltd. and relevant government departments of Papua New Guinea (PNG) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at China CT Steel Structure's headquarters. The two parties will engage in comprehensive cooperation in the field of steel structure construction, utilizing China's green and intelligent steel structure technology to assist in the transformation and upgrading of PNG's construction industry.
It is understood that PNG is accelerating urbanization and economic transformation. The development of the mining and oil and gas industries has generated significant demand for infrastructure, but the local construction industry faces challenges such as low construction efficiency and limitations due to the rainy season. As a leading enterprise in China's steel structure industry, CT Steel Structure's modular prefabrication and BIM digital design technologies are precisely suited to PNG's high-salt, high-humidity, and rainy climate.
According to the agreement, the two parties will focus on infrastructure for public welfare, commercial supporting buildings, and localized technological cooperation. CT Steel Structure will export its core technologies, jointly build production bases, and boost local employment. This cooperation is not only an important step for CT Steel Structure in implementing its "going global" strategy, but will also promote Chinese steel structure technology to the Pacific island nations and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between China and PNG.
